Music Special Collections Updates

Brian Bowman Collection

Dr. Brian Bowman donated his collection of euphonium music to the Music Library after his retirement as Regent's Professor of Music (Euphonium) in 2018. Dr. Bowman's donation contributes significantly to the score and audio recording collections for euphonium at the Music Library. In addition to items that circulate for students and faculty to borrow, Dr. Bowman donated manuscript scores, including several works composed for him. Learn more about these special items in the Brian Bowman Collection finding aid. Find items to check out by searching for "from the collection of Brian Bowman" in the Discover catalog.

From the personal collection of Frank Zappa, the UNT Music Library has acquired a rare EML Poly-Box Synthesizer Controller, a Collection of hand-annotated score booklets for "200 Motets" (1971), and the "Think It Over" autograph manuscript. Find out more details about each item in the UNT Music Library's Frank Zappa finding aid.
