Welcoming Rabbi Ken Aronowitz We are delighted to welcome Rabbi Ken Aronowitz and his wife, Hinda to Telluride for three weeks of prayer and celebration. High Holidays in Telluride Rabbi Ken Aronowitz brings more than forty years of experience leading High Holiday services in both Conservative and Reform congregations across the U.S., including Hartford, Dallas, Buffalo, Honolulu, Hot Springs, and Aspen. For twenty years, he was a beloved spiritual leader at Temple Emanu-El in Honolulu, and today he serves as a hospital chaplain on Oahu and guest leader with the Jewish Congregation of Maui. Rabbi Ken and his wife, Hinda, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and are the proud parents of Kelvin and Kristall Jennie. With deep kavvanah for nusach, niggun, and pastoral presence, Rabbi Ken is honored to join Telluride for the Yamim Nora'im of 5786. Teens & pre-teens: Ask us about BBYO opportunities. Announcing Bagels, Bubbles & Brew at the Heard Gallery (formerly Between the Covers) on Saturday, August 30, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. We invite you to join us in welcoming Jewish filmmakers, actors, and others in the film industry. Guests will enjoy complimentary New York bagels and mimosas provided by the Four Seasons Private Residences, along with coffee from the Telluride Coffee Company. This casual morning gathering is dedicated to connection and hospitality. No RSVP is necessary—just stop by and join us. SEPTEMBER 5: This will be a casual shabbat in the park...perfect for kids or anyone up for a spiritual and fun picnic in the park.  This event will be in Ridgway at 5PM on Sept 5th. Further location details upon RSVP.  SEPT 6: Views and Brews: Young Adult Hike and Brewery Lunch @ 11am MT Enjoy summertime in Telluride with sunshine, scenic trails, and new friends! Join us for the first Young Adult event of the season – a fun, laid-back morning hike at Keystone Gorge. Take in the stunning views and connect with fellow Jewish young adults from Telluride, Ridgway, Montrose, and beyond. Lunch after the hike is on TJC. Whether you're here for the nature, the nosh, or the new faces – this is the perfect way to experience summer and connect with our amazing young adult community. Note: "young" is a state of mind – if you are interested in joining, we'd love to see you there! We're thrilled to welcome Rabbi Ken Aronowitz as our service leader this year—you won't want to miss it. A detailed program will be announced soon.  Rabbi Ken Aronowitz has led High Holiday services in both Conservative and Reform congregations for more than forty years, serving communities in Hartford, Dallas, Buffalo, Honolulu, Hot Springs, and Aspen. In 1997, he moved to Hawai'i, where he spent two decades at Temple Emanu-El on Oahu as Cantorial Soloist, Educator, Spiritual Leader, and Rabbi. Since 2021, he has served as a hospital chaplain at Pali Momi Medical Center and as a guest service leader with the Jewish Congregation of Maui. Rabbi Ken and his wife, Hinda Diamond, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and are the proud parents of two children, Kelvin and Kristall Jennie.   The Telluride Jewish Community is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and the only Jewish community in the Telluride region.
