Dear friends,
Film is over and Fall is here.

Thank you to everyone who came out for Bagels, Bubbly & Brew during the film festival—it was fun to see so many of you. We have a lot going on in September, including an event we just added to the calendar.

Please join us this Sunday September 7th for a JCRC Community Salon

We're honored to welcome Brandon Rattiner, Senior Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), for one day only in Telluride.

The JCRC is a nonpartisan body of 44 Jewish organizations and 15 at-large members that works to advance the values and priorities of Colorado's Jewish community. In this challenging moment, JCRC is hosting small community salons across the state to reflect on how the war in Israel is shaping Jewish life here at home—our identity, belonging, and connection to one another and to Israel.

This is not about reaching a single answer, but about listening, sharing, and strengthening our community at a time of rising polarization and antisemitism.

When: Sunday at 3:30 pm
Where: Private home (address provided upon RSVP)
Space is very limited. RSVP required.

High holidays: calling leyners, blowers, schleppers, cookers...basically, everyone. It takes a village to make the holidays happen and we could use your help.

👉 Email us to volunteer.

High Holidays in Telluride

Rabbi Ken brings more than forty years of experience leading High Holiday services in both Conservative and Reform congregations across the U.S., including Hartford, Dallas, Buffalo, Honolulu, Hot Springs, and Aspen.

For twenty years, he was the beloved spiritual leader at Temple Emanu-El in Honolulu. Today, he serves as a hospital chaplain on Oahu and as a guest leader with the Jewish Congregation of Maui. With deep kavvanah for nusach, niggun, and pastoral presence, Rabbi Ken is honored to join Telluride for the Yamim Nora'im of 5786.

Full schedule coming soon on our website – RSVP required (tickets complimentary).

Enjoy summertime in Telluride with sunshine, scenic trails, and new friends! Join us for the first Young Adult event of the season – a fun, laid-back morning hike at Keystone Gorge. Take in the stunning views and connect with fellow Jewish young adults from Telluride, Ridgway, Montrose, and beyond. Lunch after the hike is on TJC. Whether you're here for the nature, the nosh, or the new faces – this is the perfect way to experience summer and connect with our amazing young adult community. Note: "young" is a state of mind – if you are interested in joining, we'd love to see you there! RSVP for details.
SEPT 22-OCT 2: Join us this fall for the High Holidays during the most magical season in Telluride. We're thrilled to welcome Rabbi Ken Aronowitz as our service leader this year—you won't want to miss it. A detailed program will be announced soon.

Rabbi Ken Aronowitz has led High Holiday services in both Conservative and Reform congregations for more than forty years, serving communities in Hartford, Dallas, Buffalo, Honolulu, Hot Springs, and Aspen. In 1997, he moved to Hawai'i, where he spent two decades at Temple Emanu-El on Oahu as Cantorial Soloist, Educator, Spiritual Leader, and Rabbi. Since 2021, he has served as a hospital chaplain at Pali Momi Medical Center and as a guest service leader with the Jewish Congregation of Maui. Rabbi Ken and his wife, Hinda Diamond, recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and are the proud parents of two children, Kelvin and Kristall Jennie.
