Nominate a young leader to build the PNG-Australia relationship

LOWY INSTITUTE | AUS-PNG NETWORK
Hello,

We are getting ready for our big annual event, the Australia-Papua New Guinea Emerging Leaders Dialogue.

We've been connecting the young and emerging leaders of both countries since 2013. It means we now have a formidable network of more than 100 people across business, government and the broader community who are linked through their past participation in our event.

In 2019 we're back hosting the event in Papua New Guinea. And, for the first time we'll be gathering at a location outside Port Moresby...we'll be revealing more about that soon!

We want you to help identify the young and emerging leaders to be part of this year's dialogue.

Do you know someone who fits the bill? They need to be enthusiastic, engaged and capable - and ready to be part of a conversation about the Aus-PNG relationship. They don't need to already be part of that relationship - although it obviously helps to understand why it's such an important one for our two countries.

Nominees need to be aged 40 or younger, and a citizen of either PNG or Australia (or a permanent resident). This year's event will be held in early November, and nominations must be received by 1 September.

Details of how to apply are at the Aus-PNG Network website.

You can also drop me a note to let us know about someone and we'd be happy to contact them to let them know about the opportunity.

We appreciate your support in helping us to build people-to-people links between PNG and Australia.
