MEET ETHAN

Friend

Today, we’re honored to share Ethan's story as part of our Opportunity Starts Here Giving Tuesday initiative.

Ethan participated in TransCen’s partnership with Project SEARCH at Children’s Wisconsin, where he explored his interests, discovered his talents, and built the workplace skills that prepared him for employment.

Ethan’s journey began with three internship rotations, but one stood out: Imaging.

Helping patients and families find their exam rooms wasn’t just a task — it allowed Ethan to make meaningful connections. His natural desire to help others came to life, showing him what kind of work environment he thrives in: one built on teamwork, purpose, and human connection.

When it came time for job development, TransCen supported Ethan in exploring roles that aligned with his values. Together, they connected Ethan’s strengths to Fleet Farm’s mission and close-knit team culture. This alignment mattered deeply to Ethan — he needed to feel connected to the “why” behind his work.

When Fleet Farm in Germantown, WI offered Ethan a position on their Logistics team, it clicked immediately.

He loved the friendly, appreciative team dynamic and the variety of merchandise he gets to handle each shift. His confidence has grown too — Ethan now takes the bus to and from work independently, something he’s proud of.

Ethan’s story shows the impact employers make when they partner with TransCen. This Giving Tuesday, you can create more stories like his by pledging an opportunity . Partnership creates opportunity — and that opportunity can change the course of someone’s life.
