It is a way of life and one of the most enduring points of connection between Australians and Papua New Guineans. The announcement of the PNG NRL Chiefs, set to join the NRL in 2028 and backed by $600 million in Australian Government funding, marks a significant moment for both nations. As part of our ongoing Alumni Insights series (last time we asked you to reflect on your biggest takeaways from the Emerging Leaders Dialogue), we would love to gather your thoughts on the PNG Chiefs and what this development means for the bilateral relationship.
