MII stands for Made In India — A brand created sometime around 2009 after the love duo, Lucie and Bapan, met at the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. Inspired by their passion for regional, hand-made goods and their mutual love and ongoing study of textile design, the duo set out to build a brand that could address the complex circumstances and financial difficulties faced by artisans around the world.
Today, each season of the MII collection is actively defending and promoting the unique, ancestral, and endangered skills of its growing team across India, France, Brittany, Paris, and Bengal. This incredible love story now encompasses an expanding multicultural community. Sharing a taste for beauty and goodness, the MII collection gives a deeper meaning to what we all do, and how we dress.
