Roy Altman is coming to Telluride!

A big event with Judge Roy Altman on June 30, a special Shabbat this Friday, a fascinating July Shabbat, Hummus with Dustin Chilton in August—and a chance to support TJC and Rotary by lacing up your hiking boots for the Hike-a-thon!
Roy K. Altman is a United States District Judge, award-winning writer, and author of the bestselling book Israel on Trial. A graduate of Yale Law School and former editor of the Yale Law Journal, he has served as a federal prosecutor, high-stakes litigator, and now federal judge, earning national recognition for his work on the rule of law, Israel, antisemitism, and the American legal system. In Israel on Trial, Judge Altman applies the principles of evidence and legal analysis to some of the most influential claims made about Israel, offering readers a clear, accessible, and rigorously researched examination of history, law, and public discourse. Click here for tickets ($10) or free for anyone on a budget. Space is limited.
We have opened more spots up for this event! Join us for an early season informal Shabbat happy hour! Short service, drinks and apps to follow. RSVP here.  Address upon RSVP.
Join the Telluride Jewish Community Trekkin' Tribe as we partner with Rotary for a community-wide Hike-a-thon benefiting both organizations. Participate from anywhere in the world as a hiker, walker, or jogger—or support the Trekkin' Tribe with a donation or per-mile pledge while we hit the trails for you. Simply register and select "TJC Telluride Trekkin' Tribe" from the team dropdown menu, or donate directly through our team page. Thank you for helping us reach—and exceed—our fundraising goals!

Join us for our first Young Adult event of the summer! Kick off the season with a patio brunch on June 28 (time TBD), featuring great food, mountain views, new friends, and plenty of time to relax around the fire pits.

We're excited to have Dustin Chilton of The National preparing a Jewish Moroccan brunch for the group. Hosted on a private patio in town, this gathering is a chance to connect, enjoy a delicious meal, and celebrate summer together.

Whether you're new to the community or a familiar face, we'd love to have you join us. Please contact Hannah Kupferschmid (214-470-8810) to RSVP.

This event is unfortunately already full, but spots very often open at the last minute so we hope you'll join the waitlist!
From Collapse to Clarity: Justice, Loss & the Power of Mindfulness

Join us on July 31 at 6 PM for a Shabbat dinner and conversation with Harley Tropin, lead counsel for the victims and families of the Champlain Towers South collapse. Drawing on his experience navigating one of the most complex and emotional legal cases in recent history, Harley will reflect on the pursuit of justice in the face of tragedy—and the role mindfulness, resilience, empathy, and human connection played along the way. He will also share insights from his forthcoming book on the skills that help us lead, connect, and thrive in challenging times.

Brief Shabbat service • Potluck dinner • Conversation and Q&A • RSVP now as space is limited
