The 2026 Rescuing Texas History Mini-Grant program is open and accepting applications. If you hold historical or cultural heritage materials that deserve broader public access, we want to help you make that happen. Since 2006, awardees have included private collectors, libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, and community organizations of all sizes. Each award provides up to $1,000 in digitization services, covering scanning and describing items at the UNT Libraries, and hosting on the Portal to Texas History, at no cost. Every collection that comes to the Portal expands what researchers, educators, and the public can discover about Texas history. Yours could be part of that. Deadline: August 7, 2026
